About me

My name is Vanda Rostás, a sport psychologist and a complex integrative therapist-in-training.

Through both in-person and online consultations, I help my clients gain a deeper understanding of their inner patterns and equip them with practical tools to lead a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Personal and professional background

I have always been deeply curious about the world around me and the invisible inner processes that drive our actions. This curiosity inspired me to delve into the world of psychology. I earned my degree in Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Szeged.

Body, Mind, and the Human Behind the Performance

I believe in the inseparable unity of body and mind; that our mental health and physical well-being go hand in hand. This perspective, along with my passion for sports, led me toward sports psychology. I am convinced that an athlete or anyone facing a specific challenge is, first and foremost, a human being who needs inner security to grow. My goal is to find the balance between personal well-being and optimal performance. To achieve this, I utilise autogenic training and other relaxation methods, which help maintain inner stability on the sports field, during exams, or in public performances alike.

The Power of Inner Imagery

My professional journey is currently focused on complex integrative therapy, with a particular emphasis on methods involving altered states of consciousness, most notably Catathym Imaginative Psychotherapy (KIP). This approach allows us to move beyond purely verbal and logical levels, working instead with the language of inner images and symbols. Imagination helps in uncovering and resolving unconscious content and deeply rooted blockages that are difficult to articulate with words, yet fundamentally shape our lives.

Experience and Professional Presence

I spent over two years working as a career and educational counsellor, helping students and young adults navigate their life paths. This period taught me the vital importance of a supportive, holding presence during difficult decision-making moments. In addition to my work in public education, I have worked with numerous adult clients in private practice in both Szeged and Budapest, assisting them in overcoming life challenges, anxiety, and personal blockages.

Areas of Support

I offer professional support in the following areas, integrating the various therapeutic methods I specialise in:
